Virginia Beach Police Department Investigating Homicide on 5000 Block of Finespun Last

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, March 1, 2023 – The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) is investigating a homicide that occurred on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, in the 5000 block of Finespun Last.

At 2:32 PM, Virginia Beach Emergency Communications and Citizen Services (ECCS) received a call regarding a shooting. VBPD Patrol units responded and discovered the victim, Heavonlei Grant (F/21) of Virginia Beach, had been shot in the chest. Lifesaving measures were taken but were unsuccessful; Grant was pronounced deceased on the scene. Jaiden Litton (M/19) of Virginia Beach was arrested and charged with Involuntary Manslaughter.
