Our Beaches

The Croatan Beach Access Facility is located at the southern end of Croatan Beach and provides parking, restroom facilities and a beach access ramp.

Beach access ramps are located at every beach access from 1st-42nd streets. Handicap-accessible wooden walkways that extend from the boardwalk to the water are located on 8th, 17th, 24th, 30th and 40th streets. Permanent public restrooms are available at 2nd, 17th, 20th, 24th, 30th and 31st Streets.

Beach access ramps are located at every public beach access from 43rd-89th streets.

Parking, restroom facilities, picnic area with shelters, playground, canoe/kayak launch area and beach wheelchairs are available. Little Island Fishing Pier is open seven days a week. Enjoy a newly improved pier walkway/railing, enhanced public access, and a new 200 linear foot pier-shoreline connection.

The City has an ongoing program to provide ADA-compliant structural beach access improvements along Sandbridge Beach. Of the 51 pedestrian beach access locations, 22 have been upgraded with ADA-compliant structural walkways. Accessible parking spaces are available near the beach access locations.

Located just west of the Lesner Bridge, this heavily used facility provides parking, including ADA spaces, and a ramp. One beach-accessible wheelchair is available. Restroom facilities also available.
