I love working on the monthly newsletter and seeing how much it has grown in one year. I love seeing how many people we help here (at The Hive) daily.
My time with the City of Virginia Beach has been a combination of learning, challenging myself, and contributing to the community. I've had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, each unique and significant in its own way, which allowed me to not only apply my academic knowledge but also to expand my horizons. This experience has indeed been a perfect blend of theory and practice.
I have really enjoyed my internship with the City of Virginia Beach so far. By going on site visits, attending meetings, and working on projects, I’ve been able to apply my studies to the real world. This has given me the opportunity to gain a lot of experience and insights on systems analysis. Additionally, everyone I have worked with has been kind, encouraging and happy to give all kinds of advice on my academic and professional goals.
I have worked under such an incredible team who has helped guide me through different projects. This internship has taught me so much and I am very grateful for the City of Virginia Beach for taking the time to teach and coach me. I am so excited to take everything I have learned with me when I leave.
