The Mayor's Commission on Aging annually hosts the Senior Showcase. This event caters to our elderly residents, providing information for seniors, families and caregivers, resources on City services, advice and tips on independent living and more.
The 2026 Senior Showcase will be 9 a.m.-noon, Wednesday, May 27, at Princess Anne Recreation Center, 1400 Nimmo Parkway in Virginia Beach.

Senior Housing & Resource Guide
The Mayor's Commission on Aging compiles information for the Senior Housing & Resource guide to help connect residents to a variety of resources in the community. The latest edition is up-to-date as of May 2025.
Goals

​Review the nature and priorities of needed services necessary for seniors.

Work with other agencies, committees, and commissions throughout the region who address these same issues.

Provide public information, as well as legislative and educational efforts.

Represent the Mayor's Office throughout the community, as directed by the mayor.
