Serves to assist the mayor in planning actions and programs to meet the needs and concerns of seniors in Virginia Beach.
Senior Showcase
The 2025 Senior Showcase will be 9 a.m.-noon, Wednesday, May 28, at Princess Anne Recreation Center, 1400 Nimmo Parkway in Virginia Beach. Registration is required to attend and it opens on April 15 online or by calling 311.
Goals
Review the nature and priorities of needed services necessary for seniors.
Work with other agencies, committees, and commissions throughout the region who address these same issues.
Provide public information, as well as legislative and educational efforts.
Represent the Mayor's Office throughout the community, as directed by the mayor.
Assist in identifying and defining the needs of seniors.

Senior Showcase
The Mayor's Commission on Aging annually hosts the Senior Showcase. This event caters to our elderly residents, providing information for seniors, families and caregivers, resources on City services, advice and tips on independent living and more.
