Eight Members of Virginia Task Force 2 (VA-TF2) Activated to Kentucky in Response to Severe Weather Conditions

As part of the East IST Cache Team, eight members of Virginia Task Force 2 (VA-TF2) were activated at 1900 hours on Tuesday, April 2, 2025, in response to severe weather in Kentucky. The team departed last evening after preparing the Incident Support Team (IST) cache for deployment. The team is expected to arrive in Louisville, Kentucky later this morning. They will rendezvous with FEMA IST in and assist local agencies with requests for assistance as needed.
