Virginia Beach Fire Department to Hold Annual Awards Ceremony Wednesday, October 26

On Wednesday, Oct. 26, the Virginia Beach Fire Department will hold their annual Awards Ceremony at 7 p.m. at Landstown High School, 2001 Concert Drive, Virginia Beach. Fire Chief Dave Hutcheson will provide opening remarks along with special guest speaker, Mayor Robert M. "Bobby" Dyer. Fifty-six members of the Fire Department will be recognized as well as two citizens and two corporate organizations. The ceremony will close with a representative from Stihl, who will announce and present the prestigious "Firefighter of the Year Award."
