VBPD Makes Arrest in Stabbing Homicide on Streamline Drive

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, April 27, 2023 – On April 25, 2023, around 11:27 P.M., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department responded to a call for service in the 1800 block of South Streamline Drive.

Officers located Anthony Garcia (M/38) suffering from multiple stab wounds. Mr. Garcia was transported to a local hospital where he died due to his injuries. It was learned that Mr. Garcia had gotten into a dispute with the suspect, Kavitte Conway (M/30) of Norfolk, which ended in Mr. Conway attacking and stabbing Mr. Garcia.

With the assistance of Henrico Police Department, Mr. Conway was arrested in the early morning hours of April 27, 2023, on outstanding warrants for 2nd Degree Murder while on the run in the Richmond area. Mr. Conway is currently being held without bond at the Virginia Beach Jail.
