VBPD Investigating Homicide on Stewart Drive

On July 14, 2023, at 11:54 P.M., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to the 5400 block of Stewart Drive for a report of a shooting. Officers located Joseph Hunter (M/42), suffering from gunshot wounds. Hunter was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
