VBPD Investigating Homicide on Marlwood Way

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, March 30, 2023 – On March 19, 2023, at 1:30 A.M., Emergency Communications and Citizen Services received a 911 call from the victim, Detral Dozier (M/21) of Virginia Beach, stating had been shot.

Dozier was located at the 4700 block of Marlwood Way suffering from a gunshot wound. Dozier was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
