VBPD Investigating Fatal Crash on Virginia Beach Blvd.

On Dec. 1, 2023, at around 7:35 p.m., Virginia Beach Emergency Communication and Citizen Services (ECCS) received a call for a vehicle crash in the 4800 block of Virginia Beach Blvd. a pedestrian was crossing Virginia Beach Blvd. when he was struck by a vehicle headed eastbound.

Members of the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD), Fire Department, and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene. The driver and their passengers were uninjured in the crash. They remained on scene and cooperated with investigators. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The decedent’s next of kin information has yet to be identified.
