VBPD Investigates Fatal Crash on Baxter Road

On Nov. 17, 2023, at 6:31 p.m., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to a three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Baxter Road and Kenley Road.

The motorcyclist, Shawn Martin (M/42) of Virginia Beach, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Preliminary investigations show that the motorcycle struck a Honda Accord at the intersection. The impact caused the Accord to strike a stopped Nissan Kicks that was waiting for the traffic signal.
