VBPD Arrests Two for Homicide at The Red Roof Inn

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, March 23, 2023 – At 02:44 A.M. on March 1, 2023, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) were dispatched to the Red Roof Inn at 196 Ballard Court for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Jayden Moore (M/22) of Virginia Beach, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

On March 2, 2023, Keon Harris (M/23) of Henrico was initially arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. On March 16, 2023, VBPD detectives secured additional charges of 2nd Degree Murder and Use of Firearm in the Commission of a Felony for Mr. Harris.

On March 17, Tyre Pierre (M/22) of Chesapeake was arrested on outstanding warrants for 2nd Degree Murder and Use of Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. Mr. Pierre is currently being extradited back from Florida.
