VBPD Apprehend Suspect in Corrine Lane Shooting Incident

On Nov. 4, 2023, at approximately 9:45 a.m., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) were dispatched to the 3200 block of Corrine Lane for reports of a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers arrived at the scene and discovered an adult, male victim who was provided medical attention and subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers investigating the incident were able to quickly identify the suspected shooter as Horace Creel, (M/29) of Virginia Beach. Creel fled from the scene before the police arrived, but he was later apprehended in Norfolk by the VBPD Warrant Fugitive Unit.

Horace Creel has been charged with Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Domestic Assault.
