VB Human Rights Commission Accepting Awards Nominations

Nomination deadline is Sept. 26

The Virginia Beach Human Rights Commission (VBHRC) is accepting nominations for the 27th Annual Human Rights Awards Ceremony now through Sept. 26, 2022. The VBHRC recognizes noteworthy individuals and groups who have aided in the understanding of cultural diversity and advocated for the human rights of the City's residents.

The awards committee will evaluate nominees based on community involvement, initiatives and humanitarianism. Eligible nominees are people living or working in Virginia Beach or anyone who has contributed to the promotion of human rights to benefit Virginia Beach residents.

Submit your nominations today to acknowledge those who work to protect and promote cultural diversity and advocate for the human rights of all. A nomination form must be attached to all entries, including at least two references to support the nominee(s).

All entries must be received by 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, via email, mail or hand-delivery in one of the following ways:
