Two Subjects Arrested - More Than 45 Charges Served

Between August 26, 2022 and September 9, 2022, detectives from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) investigated numerous cases involving larcenies, stolen vehicles, and firearm violations throughout the city. After an extensive investigation, details revealed these cases were possibly related and further connected to cases in other jurisdictions.

On September 9, 2022, with the assistance of the Norfolk Police Department, Virginia Beach Police arrested two subjects in relation to these cases. Hassan Abdul Johnson, (M/19) of Norfolk, was arrested and received 27 charges, which included Attempted Malicious Wounding, Theft of a Firearm, Credit Card Theft and Grand Larceny. Dangelo Styles, (M/19) of Norfolk, was arrested and received 22 charges, which included Attempted Malicious Wounding, Conspiracy to Shoot an Individual, Theft of a Firearm, Credit Card Theft and Grand Larceny. More charges are possible in Virginia Beach and other jurisdictions.
