Three Juvenile Subjects Arrested in Stolen Vehicle and Stolen Firearms Case

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – On November 21, 2022, at approximately 1:25 AM, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) received a stolen vehicle alert from their in-car Automatic License Plate Recognition System (ALPR). The vehicle refused to stop for the officers and subsequently officers successfully used spikes to deflate the vehicles tires. When the vehicle finally stopped, the three occupants ran from officers. All three were taken into custody without incident. One subject was in possession of a stolen firearm and a second firearm was recovered from the vehicle.

All three subjects were juveniles (M/17, 14, 13) from Norfolk. There was a large amount of stolen property recovered in the vehicle from recent larceny cases. The juveniles were charged with multiple offences, to include Possession of Stolen Firearm, Concealed Firearm, Possession of Firearm by Minor, Felony Eluding, Misdemeanor Eluding, and Possession of Stolen Property.
