Temporary Road Closure of West Neck Road Begins July 31

Aug. 7, 2023 Update: Due to some delays, the temporary road closure of West Neck Road will be extended to Aug. 10.

​Beginning Monday, July 31, West Neck Road between North Landing Road and Indian River Road will be closed to through traffic as part of the West Neck Road Phase IV construction project.

During this time, two separate tie-ins will occur – a north and south tie-in – starting with the north (see maps). There will be no overlap between the two sites; one site will be finished before the next one is started to allow for neighborhood access between the work areas. At the completion of these tie-ins, traffic will be placed on the newly constructed road.

A detour is in place to reroute traffic until work is complete. Advanced warning signs are posted advising motorists of the detour and closures. Weather permitting, the road is scheduled to reopen on Aug. 7.
