ShotSpotter Alert Results in Arrest on Woodard Crescent

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, March 22, 2023 – On March 18, 2023, at 9:03 P.M., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) were alerted to multiple gunshots in the Broad Meadows area by ShotSpotter.

A canvass of the area by Third Precinct officers yielded the location of multiple shell casings at the 800 block of Woodard Crescent. The investigation led to the arrest of Brandon Rosario (M/21) of Virginia Beach for Reckless Handling of a Firearm and Discharging a Firearm in a Public Place.
