Ring in the Holiday Season with Family and Friends as You Bike through the Holiday Lights at the Beach

Head down to the Virginia Beach Boardwalk from 5-7 p.m. on Nov. 17 to enjoy this family-friendly, FREE event.

Get in the spirit and deck out your bike with lights or other holiday decorations then join hundreds of riders for an enchanting journey through the holiday, nautical, and adventure-themed light displays including jumping fish, musical crabs, and jolly elves dancing in lights against the backdrop of the moonlit Atlantic Ocean.

Cyclists will begin the ride in waves to prevent congestion at the start and along the route. Riders will stay on the Boardwalk headed north and return on the bike path. One-way traffic creates a smooth flow of riders during the event.

Afterward, be sure to warm up with dinner and drinks at one of the area's great restaurants – whether that's pizza with your kids or a romantic dinner for two – there's something for everyone.

Only bicycles will be admitted, no motorized vehicles are permitted. This event is not appropriate for pedestrians or pets and motor vehicles will not be allowed on the Boardwalk during the ride.

Parking will be available at the Rudee Loop Municipal Lot at 2nd Street on a first-come, first-served basis.

Can't make it Nov. 17? Don't worry, there will be another opportunity to cycle through the holiday lights display on Jan. 1 (New Year's Day).
