Quick Arrest Made After Robbery

On Oct. 27, 2022, at approximately 9:30 PM, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department responded to a business in the 700 block of Lynnhaven Parkway, for the report of a robbery.

The initial investigation revealed a male entered the business, stealing several pieces of merchandise. When the male left the store, the clerk confronted him. The male produced a handgun and the employee retreated into the store. Based on information officers obtained from the clerk, they were able to quickly identify and locate the male suspect and take him into custody without incident.

Keon Dontez Drew, (M/27) of Portsmouth, was charged with Armed Robbery, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Concealed Firearm.
