One Shooter Arrested from West Beach Tavern Incident

​VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – On March 28, 2022, Virginia Beach Detectives determined the identity of one of the shooters involved in the incident that occurred in the 5000 Block of Cleveland Street, in front of West Beach Tavern in the early hours of March 26, 2022.

Earl Thomas Royster Jr. (M/39) of Chesapeake, VA, has been arrested and charged with three counts of Malicious Assault and three counts of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. Royster is currently being held in the Virginia Beach Correctional Center with no bond.

A second shooter from the incident has yet to be identified.
