Nominations Now Being Accepted for 2022 Travel & Tourism Awards

​Nominations are now being accepted for the 2022 Virginia Beach Travel & Tourism awards. Created to recognize those within the hospitality industry who excel in their work, awards in almost a dozen industry-related categories will be presented to local "hospitality heroes" at a luncheon celebration in May. Nominations in the following categories may be submitted through March 25, 2022:

• Carlos Wilson Lifetime Achievement Award (25+ Years of Service)
• James B. Ricketts Hospitality Hero Award (anyone in the hospitality industry)
• Banquet/Catering
• Front Desk
• Bellman/Valet/Concierge
• Housekeeping/Laundry
• Maintenance/Engineer
• Hostess/Host/Cashier
• Dishwasher/Busser
• Wait staff/Bartender
• Kitchen staff
  

Established by a congressional resolution in 1983, National Travel & Tourism Week is dedicated to highlighting the power of travel by recognizing the millions of people nationwide who help keep the hospitality industry going strong.
