New ALPR Technology Leads to Stolen Vehicle, Narcotics, and Weapon Arrest
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – On November 11, 2022, at approximately 3:25 PM, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) were patrolling in the 5700 block of Northampton Blvd. VBPD officers received a stolen vehicle alert from their in-car Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR).
The officers stopped the occupied vehicle and arrested Robert Hollingsworth, (M/33), from Norfolk. Upon his arrest, narcotics and a handgun were recovered. Mr. Hollingsworth was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Schedule I/II Narcotics, and Possession of a Firearm While in Possession of Narcotics.
