Multiple Arrests Made with the Use of ShotSpotter
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – On December 25, 2022, at approximately 7:46 P.M., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 400 block of N. Witchduck Road.
Through their investigation, officers were able to locate and detain three males matching the description of those involved in the shots fired incident. Officers recovered two handguns and an extended magazine from the individuals.
Joseph Middleton, (M/19) of Virginia Beach, was arrested and charged with Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, Possession of a Concealed Weapon, Discharge a Firearm within City Limit, and Reckless Handling of a Firearm. Tony Gaston, (M/19) of Virginia Beach, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Concealed Weapon. A third juvenile subject was released to his parents, without charges.
