VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – On July 29, 2022, the second juvenile suspect was arrested in connection to the homicide. The suspect, a 17-year-old female, was charged with Accessory After the Fact- Murder and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana.

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – After an extensive investigation, two juvenile suspects were identified. On July 27, 2022, a juvenile suspect was arrested in connection to the homicide. The suspect, a 17-year-old male, was charged with Second Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. Additional charges are possibly pending against the second suspect.

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – On June 9, 2022, at approximately 3:00 PM, Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) officers assigned to the Second Precinct were dispatched to the 1900 block of King Charles Court for reports of an individual suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon the officer's arrival, they located a single victim. Lifesaving efforts were attempted by the police officers with the assistance of Virginia Beach Emergency Medical Services (EMS) but the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Da'Myrian Jacob Durel (M/18) of Virginia Beach. Next of kin were on scene and notified of his passing.
