Fortis Solutions Group to Invest $3.1M to Expand Virginia Beach Facility

Fortis Solutions Group, LLC plans to invest $3.1 million to expand its Virginia Beach manufacturing facility. The expansion will add 25,000 square feet to the existing footprint, totaling over 62,000 square feet of space upon completion in 2023. The Virginia Beach Development Authority (VBDA) voted to award Fortis Solutions Group an Economic Development Investment Program (EDIP) grant of $125,000 for the expansion based on capital investment. This headquarters expansion announcement follows the company's previous $9.7 million investment in the existing facility in 2016.

"We greatly appreciate the VBDA's EDIP grant approval which will support our continued growth and investment in people and equipment within our Virginia Beach facility," said Fortis Solutions Group CEO John Wynne.

Fortis Solutions Group was founded in 1979 as Labels Unlimited and rebranded as Fortis Solutions Group in early 2015. Fortis is a packaging manufacturing company supporting customers in a broad range of markets, including food, beverage, health and beauty, automotive and more. It employs over 1,100 people, operates multiple manufacturing facilities, has distribution capabilities across the country and is represented by an experienced sales team that services customers around the world. Locally, the company employs 140 people and plans to add 40 new jobs in the next 48 months.
