Fatal Traffic Crash Taylor Farms Road

​VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, August 3, 2023 – On August 1, 2023, at approximately 1:18 PM, a dump truck operator entered a parking lot in the 1300 block of Taylor Farms Road. While the operator of the dump truck was backing up to exit, Beverly Meier (F/62) of Virginia Beach, a pedestrian walking through the lot, was struck.

Meier was pronounced deceased at the scene. The vehicle’s operator stayed on the scene and was cooperative with the investigation. Meier’s next of kin have been notified. There are no pending charges for the driver currently.
