Fatal Motorcycle Crash – 1600 Block of Princess Anne Road

On February 16, 2023, at 9:37 P.M., first responders from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD), Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Fire Department (VBFD) responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Princess Anne Road and Mabon Road.

The driver of the motorcycle, Wesley Whitehurst (M/38) of Virginia Beach, impacted the driver’s side of another vehicle. He was found unresponsive and pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS.

The other driver was uninjured and remained on scene to speak with officers.

This case is being investigated by the VBPD Traffic Safety Unit and is open and ongoing.
