Fatal Crash Investigation – 2300 block of Harpers Road

On July 28, 2022, approximately 8:26 PM, crash investigators from the Virginia Beach Police Department’s (VBPD) Special Operations Bureau responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash in the 2300 block of Harpers Road.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a Jeep Wrangler ran off the road at this location and overturned. A passenger in the Jeep was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS personnel. The passenger was identified as Wayne Jette (M/61), from Virginia Beach, VA. Mr. Jette’s next of kin have been notified.
