Burglary of Business, Stolen Vehicles and Vehicle Pursuit End with the Arrest of Two Individuals
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – On May 12, 2022, at approximately 0220 hours, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) were dispatched to a commercial burglar alarm in the 4700 block of Shore Drive. As officers arrived on scene a second commercial burglar alarm was reported in the 5100 block of Shore Drive. During the officer's preliminary investigation, it was determined that two vehicles had been stolen. Officers were able to locate the stolen vehicles, and, after a short vehicle pursuit, two subjects were taken into custody by VBPD officers in Norfolk, VA without incident.
Jiayon Morris (M/19) of Norfolk, VA was charged with Burglary (x2), Grand Larceny-Automobile, Conspiracy and Possession of a Concealed Weapon.
The second suspect was identified as a juvenile and charged appropriately.
