Bank Robbery Suspect with Arrest

On July 12, 2022, at approximately 4:43 pm, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to the report of a bank robbery at Bayport Credit Union, located in the 4300 block of Holland Road.

The investigation revealed a subject entered the bank, demanded money, and exited with an undisclosed amount of US currency. A short time later, responding officers located the subject and evidence related to the robbery near the bank, and took him into custody without incident.

The suspect was identified as Jeffery Bell (M/32) of Virginia Beach. Bell was arrested and charged with two counts of Robbery and one count of Wearing a Mask in a Public Place.
