Additional City Offices to Close to Move to New City Hall

Finance and Volunteer Resources Offices Available via Email

The next group of City departments is set to move to the new City Hall on April 23-24. The City Auditor, Office of Volunteer Resources, Budget & Management Services, and Finance departments will relocate to the third floor of the new building.

To accommodate the move, some offices will close to the public.

  • Finance will be closed to the public on April 20-22 and Monday, April 25. The department will reopen at normal hours on Tuesday, April 26. Divisions located in other City facilities will also move to Building 1, including Payroll, Purchasing, and Risk Management. For questions, contact the email addresses below:
  • The Office of Volunteer Resources will close on Friday, April 22, and reopen at normal hours on Monday, April 25. The office can still be reached via email at volunteer@vbgov.com. For more information on volunteer opportunities, visit VBgov.com/volunteer.

New City Hall

New City Hall is located between former Building 1 and Building 2. With the move, it has become Building 1 and assumed the address of 2401 Courthouse Drive. The City Attorney, Commissioner of the Revenue, and City Treasurer's offices are currently located in the new building.

Former Building 1 is now Building 3, and its address is 2403 Courthouse Drive. After the move, Building 3 will be redesigned and renovated. The estimated completion is in the spring of 2024.

All public meetings including City Council meetings will remain in the current Council Chamber until the new chamber is finished. More information about the first City Council meeting in new City Hall and ribbon cutting ceremony will be forthcoming.

The Mayor's Office, City Manager's Office, City Clerk's Office, and Communications Office will move from April 30 to May 1.
