Three Council Members Hosting Community Meetings in April

Councilmembers Henley, Rouse and Wooten will hold meetings for their districts.

Councilmembers Barbara Henley, Jennifer Rouse and Sabrina Wooten invite the public to attend their community meetings in the coming weeks.

Councilmember Wooten will host a District 7 community meeting to update residents on current city projects and issues that impact the district on Thursday, April 18. Topics of discussion include an update on Level Green Park, ways to combat/address crime in the neighborhood and the FY2024-25 budget. Residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and share thoughts. It will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. at College Park Elementary School in the cafeteria.

On Wednesday, April 24, Councilmember Rouse invites residents of District 10 to a Public Safety Forum to discuss public safety in Virginia Beach.​ Leadership from the departments of Police, Fire, Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Communications & Citizen Services and the Sheriff’s Office will be in attendance to provide updates and answer questions. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and concerns with public safety leaders. The meeting will be held from 6-8 p.m. in the auditorium at Green Run High School.

Councilmember Henley will host her monthly District 2 community meeting from 5:15-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, in Building 19 at the Municipal Center. Held the fourth Thursday of each month, the meetings are held to update residents on current City projects and issues. Residents will have an opportunity to meet and build relationships with other members of the district, engage and participate in the conversation and have their questions addressed.​

All meetings are free and open to the public.
