‘Landscapes’ Exhibition Now on View in Art Gallery at Sandler Center

The latest Sandler Center for the Performing Arts Art Gallery exhibition invites viewers to enjoy natural scenes, including traditional landscape and flower paintings.   

“Landscapes,” by Virginia Beach-based artist Tamara Vogrin Tara, is on view now through Dec. 2 whenever the Sandler Center box office is open, as well as to event ticketholders during Sandler Center events. The Sandler Center and Sandler Center Foundation will host a free, public opening reception for this exhibition from 6-8 p.m. on Sept. 30.  

The artist, also a photographer, uses her camera to capture natural, outdoor scenes in late afternoons and early mornings, pausing to filter the images through her own emotional landscape. She then recreates these moments with oil colors, making them shine on canvas. 

Vogrin Tara, who is originally from Slovenia, is an award-winning professional artist and photographer. She has been an active artist since 1995 and is the author-muralist of the 3D Museum in Slovenia, where she painted 263 square meters of murals in her self-described “3D technique.” Throughout her career, Vogrin Tara has created more than 100 works of art, which have been displayed in numerous solo exhibitions around the world.
