ICYMI: Councilmember Sabrina Wooten Hosted a District 7 Community Meeting
The meeting was held Feb. 16 at College Park Elementary School.
Councilmember Wooten hosted a community town hall to update residents on current city projects and issues that impact District 7. David Jarman, the Transportation Division Manager for Public Works, Capt. Scott Wichtendahl of the 4thPolice Precinct, Chad Morris, the Planning, Design & Development Administrator for Parks & Recreation and Bryan Clark with the Communications Department were in attendance to report on issues and potential projects in the district as well as review community input opportunities.
Jarman discussed the traffic light pattern at the newly installed light at Level Green Blvd. and Indian River Road. Capt. Wichtendahl shared crime patterns in the 4th precinct and the overall year-end crime statistics that Police Chief Paul Neudigate presented to City Council on Feb. 14. Morris provided an update on the proposed Community Recreation Center for District 7 as well as updates on the Level Green Park project. Clark reviewed opportunities for community feedback including the City’s public input portal, SpeakUpVB.com.
Before the meeting concluded, Councilmember Wooten offered attendees an opportunity to have their questions addressed.
