ICYMI: Councilmember Henley Hosted Her July District 2 Community Meeting

Councilmember Henley's agenda addressed a number of updates and follow-ups on projects in District 2, including Indian River Road Bridge, Pungo Ferry Road, Elbow Road Extended, Indian River Road Bridge, West Neck Road Phase IV, Sandbridge Road/New Bridge Road Intersection Improvements, and Foxfire Trail Pedestrian Bridge.

She also gave updates on stormwater projects and public utilities CIP projects.

She mentioned:

• That there were no new updates on the Avangrid/Kitty Hawk Project but that some City Council members were interested in getting additional information before council took any action.
• Opened discussion about the latest on the proposed election system update and took questions.
• Discussed the latest on the Wayne Project and some of the latest discussions and information.
• Announced the upcoming City Council retreat on Tuesday, Aug. 22.
• She took questions from the attendees and informed them that there are no planning items for District 2 coming before City Council in August, and only two items coming before the planning commission that month.

Councilmember Henley's next meeting will be Thursday, Aug. 24, in Building 19 from 5:15-7 p.m.
