Continuing Education Credits Offered at Event Focused on Ways to Protect and Preserve Local Waterways

The April 26 symposium at the Virginia Beach Convention Center is just $30.

The North Landing River and Albemarle Sound Estuarine Symposium will foster opportunities for networking as well as educate participants about exciting new research, collaborative efforts and projects to preserve and advance the watershed.

Attendees will also be eligible to earn continuing education credit for the following fields: 

  • Landscape architecture 
  • Engineering 
  • Floodplain management  
  • Environmental science 
  • Planning

Hosted by the Virginia Beach Green Ribbon Committee, this one-day event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, April 26, at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

Virginia Secretary of Natural and Historic Resources Travis Voyles will give the keynote address, and breakout sessions will cover wetlands, living shorelines and the Supreme Court ruling on Sackett v. the Environmental Protection Agency. 

Registration is just $30 and includes a boxed lunch. Interested parties should register online at EstuarySymposium2024.eventbrite.com by Tuesday, April 23.
