For the Love of Earth: Celebrate Earth Day April 22

Reduce, reuse and recycle your way to a greater, greener community.
Mount Trashmore Park

The City is celebrating planet Earth this month with a variety of events and activities:

Earth Day • April 22 • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. • Mount Trashmore Park

First, head to Mount Trashmore Park on April 22 for the Earth Day Experience and Celebration featuring Earth Day Talks with local experts, fun-filled festivities, vendors, food trucks and resources designed to empower residents to make our community a more sustainable environment.

Recycle Zone • April 29 • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. • Larkspur Middle School

Visit the Larkspur Middle School Recycle Zone on April 29 where residents are invited to drop off the following items to vendors:

  • Hazardous Household Waste: Acceptable Items
  • Document Shredding: 2 boxes per vehicle
  • Car Batteries and Children Automobile Safety Seats (collected in partnership with AAA)

Please note: Electronics are not being accepted at the Recycle Zone. Residents may drop unwanted electronic devices at any Goodwill Donation Center or check with the item manufacturer to learn if they have a take-back program.

Parks & Rec 2023 Earth Day Celebration Flyer

City Nature Challenge BioBlitz Pop-Up• April 30 • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. • Mount Trashmore Park

As part of the global City Nature Challenge (April 28 – May 1), team up with Parks & Rec for an in-person BioBlitz to find, identify, photograph and share as many species as possible of the city’s diverse flora and fauna.

Celebrate Earth Day with Limited Edition T-Shirts
