Virginia Beach Police Department Investigating Garfield Ave Homicide

On June 15, 2023 at approximately 11:24 P.M., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to a report of gunshots in the 700 block of Garfield Ave.Upon arrival, officers found Lonnie Harvey Jr. (M/20) of Virginia Beach, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Harvey was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.This case remains under investigation.
