VBPD Make Arrests in Overnight Barricade Situation

On Monday, July 24, 2023, at approximately 8:40 P.M., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) were attempting to arrest wanted felon Trevor Crawford, (M/32) of Virginia Beach.

As officers were pulling into the 500 block of 18^th Street, Crawford was attempting to leave in what officers later determined was a stolen vehicle. When confronted, Crawford ignored commands to submit to arrest, displayed a firearm in his waistband, threatened to shoot the officers, and retreated into his residence.

Officers attempted unsuccessfully to call Crawford out of the apartment, ultimately resulting in VBPD's SWAT Team taking over response to the barricade situation. At approximately 3:30 A.M. on Tuesday, July 25, 2025, SWAT was able to make entry into the apartment and take Mr. Crawford into custody without incident.

Stephanie Davis (F/30) of Virginia Beach was arrested and charged with Obstruction of Justice. Additional charges are pending.

Trevor Crawford was arrested and charged with Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Obstruction of Justice, Threats against a Law Enforcement Officer, and Felony Possession of a Firearm. In addition, Mr. Crawford had five open warrants for his arrest that were served.
