VBPD Investigating Homicide on Riverbend Road

On Dec. 24, at 12:12 a.m., Virginia Beach Emergency Communications and Citizens Services (ECCS) received alerts from ShotSpotter for shots fired in the 800 block of Riverbend Road. Subsequent calls from community members reported two gunshot victims.

Upon arrival, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) discovered two adult males with gunshot wounds. One victim, Antonio Wolfe (M/43) of Portsmouth, Virginia, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition. A third adult male gunshot wound victim related to the incident later walked into a local hospital. He has since been released.

VBPD homicide Detectives are actively investigating what was a chaotic scene. There are currently no suspects in custody.
