VBPD Investigates Homicides on Gateway Place
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, Sunday, September 10, 2023 – On September 10, 2023, at approximately 12:04 A.M., Virginia Beach Emergency Communications & Citizen Services (ECCS) received a call for multiple gunshot victims at the 3700 block of Gateway Place.
Officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) arrived on scene and located three subjects (two adult males and one adult female) suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the males was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The other two subjects were pronounced deceased at the scene.
VBPD Homicide Detectives’ investigation determined that this incident is the result of tragic domestic situation. It is believed that the male who was transported to the hospital was responsible for the shooting of the other two victims and himself. Out of respect for the families, the names of the deceased persons will not be provided at the time. VBPD sends our condolences to the involved families.
