Virginia Beach Homeless Persons’ Memorial Service Scheduled for Dec. 17
Each December, many communities across the nation gather on or near the winter solstice, when National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day is observed, to commemorate the lives of individuals who have died while homeless.
The public is invited to join Virginia Beach Housing & Neighborhood Preservation, the Virginia Beach Human Rights Commission and the BEACH (Bringing an End to All City Homelessness) Community Partnership at the Virginia Beach homeless persons’ memorial service at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 17, at the Housing Resource Center, 104 N. Witchduck Road.
