VBPD Investigates Fatal Crash on Diamond Springs Road

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, Tuesday, July 11, 2023 – On July 10, 2023, at around 10:39 p.m., Virginia Beach Police Officers responded to a car crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Diamond Springs Road and Tierra Roja Drive.

The pedestrian (M/68) was pronounced deceased on scene. The preliminary investigation indicated that the motorist, who stayed on scene and was cooperative, was not at fault. There are no charges currently. The identity of the victim is not being released at this time as next of kin still have not been located and notified.
