VBPD Investigates Fatal Crash at S Rosemont Rd
On October 29, 2023, at 6:22 P.M., a motorcycle operator was traveling southbound on Rosemont Rd toward a red light. The motorcycle operator passed between vehicles on the center line and struck a vehicle proceeding through the intersection with the right of way. Speed is believed to be a factor in this incident.
The motorcycle operator was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. The driver was identified as Justin Artis (M/29) of Virginia Beach.
The other driver remained on scene and was uninjured in the crash.
