VBPD Arrests Three in Home Burglary

On September 23, 2023, at 4:30 P.M, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to a residential burglary in progress at the 5200 block of Johnstown Lane.

Upon arrival, officers encountered three suspects and engaged in a foot pursuit, leading to the arrest of all three individuals who were residents of Virginia Beach. Officers also recovered a firearm in relation to the burglary.

Isaiah Palmer (M/24), Giovani Calixte (M/21), and Alii Gurney-Proctor (M/19) were charged with Burglary, Grand Larceny, Use of Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Conspiracy, and Obstruction. Calixte was additionally charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon without a Permit and Wearing a Mask in Certain Places.
