VB Public Works to Host Open House for Windsor Woods/Princess Anne Plaza/The Lakes Projects
The Virginia Beach Public Works Department will hold a public open house meeting to provide an update on the flood mitigation improvements for the Windsor Woods, Princess Anne Plaza, and The Lakes (WW-PP-TL) neighborhoods, including areas in the Chimney Hill neighborhood. It will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 7, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Bow Creek Recreation Center, 3427 Club House Road.
The proposed flood mitigation improvements for this area include tide gates, pump stations, stormwater storage, creek improvements, barriers, and storm pipe projects. These improvements are part of the City of Virginia Beach's Flood Protection Program (the "Ripple Effect") Bond Referendum approved in November 2021.
This meeting will be informal and open to the public. Representatives from the City of Virginia Beach will be available to discuss the proposed projects with citizens. There will be a presentation during the first 30 minutes of the meeting. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and view exhibit boards.
