Temporary Road Closure Scheduled for Elbow Road Oct. 28

Virginia Beach Public Works will temporarily close Elbow Road to through traffic between Round Hill Drive and Walpole Street on Saturday, Oct. 28, to perform guardrail maintenance. In addition, Parks & Recreation/Park & Landscape Services will conduct tree and vegetation trimming needed to improve roadway safety and visibility. Work will occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

During this time, through traffic will be detoured via Round Hill Drive, S Independence Boulevard and Salem Road. Advanced warning signs will be posted advising motorists of the alternate route.
