ShotSpotter Alert: VBPD Charges Man for Discharging Firearm
On September 15, 2023, at approximately 10:10 P.M., ShotSpotter alerted officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) of multiple gunshots at the 5000 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard.
Upon arrival, officers located multiple shell casings at the scene. An article search was conducted by a VBPD K9 unit and a firearm was located nearby. After investigation, Mohammed Khedar (M/53) of Virginia Beach was charged with Reckless Handling of a Firearm.
