Fatal Crash Investigation – 800 block of Princess Anne Road

​VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – On January 1, 2023, at approximately 6:00 P.M., officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to the report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 800 block of Princess Anne Road.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a Chevrolet Silverado truck traveling southbound on Princess Anne Road struck a male walking northbound in the same lane. The male, identified as Brian Baker (M/41) of Virginia Beach, was pronounced deceased by EMS at the scene. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
